Description
Breathe Eze Cosy Crib
Our Australian designed Breathe Eze Cosy Crib is the perfect sleeping pod for safe sleeping for your baby in their cot, next to you or out and about.
The Cosy Crib is designed to safely sleep your newborn, with Oeko-Tex certified cotton covers and a flat and firm breath eze fibre mattress, that is machine washable. The Cosy Crib has no dangerous ties or strangulation hazards, no excessive fabric to cause suffocation and is designed to safely sleep your baby in accordance with safe sleep practices.
See why thousands of Australian parents have loved our Australian designed Cosy Crib for almost 20 years.
We recommend the babyhood Sleep Positioner to be used with your Cosy Crib as it reduces the risk of your infant rolling over. The Sleep Positioner is sold separately.
Parental supervision is always recommended as it is important to check on your infant every 2-4 hours during their sleep periods, to ensure they are flat on their back and their airways are clear.
Why is our Breathe Eze Cosy Crib safe?
The babyhood Breathe Eze Cosy Crib is designed differently to many of the sleeping pods in the market, with unique safety features.
The reasons why?
Our Breathe Eze Cosy Cribs are safer because:
• The pod includes a thick and firm mattress, not a thin pad or just fabric.
• The mattress is flat and does not have an incline. Medical experts have evidence to support the fact that an incline is dangerous on an infant’s sleeping product as it drops your baby’s head – chin to chest, which can restrict their airways causing fatal injury.
• The cotton fabric covers are tight fitting (so no loose or excessive fabric) reducing the risk of entrapment – take the “pinch test” today on a whole range of sleeping pods and immediately you will see why ours is safer with no excessive bedding. Most pod brands like to sell you covers, so the covers need to be loose fitting so they can be swapped over. This is not safe.
• The inner fibre is tested to be firm, so the mattress is not soft and squishy. This reduces the risk of suffocation if your baby rolls into the mattress. The mattress is tested to AS/NZS 8811.1:2013 Methods of testing infant products – Sleep Surfaces – Test for firmness so you know it is safe for your baby.
• The inner fibre is tested for breathability, so it is safer for your baby as it allows air flow through the fibre.
• The inner core is made from fibre which is a heat bonded polyester fibre which allows for airflow and is allergy and dust mite resistant. NO foam is used in the construction of our cosy cribs as we do not believe it is safe for your baby. Foam contains hazardous chemicals; it is not breathable and not washable.
• The covers are made from breathable cotton fabrics which are natural fibre that is well known to allow for continuous airflow through the covers.
• There are no ties or clips or any attachments that your baby can be entrapped in, which may cause a strangulation hazard.
• There are no harnesses, belts, restraints, or straps to restrict your baby’s movement, as medical experts do not recommend sleeping products for infants that restrict a newborn’s movement.
• They are designed to support you to safely sleep your newborn baby in accordance with safe sleep practices, recommended by Australian regulators and medical experts, as the Cosy Crib has a separate mattress that you can safely fit your baby’s sheet under, so your bub is safely flat on their back, with no suffocation hazards.
• Fully washable so it is more hygienic for your baby.
The Cosy Crib is designed to include features that other baby nests, docks or sleep pods, have not even considered, so take the pinch test today to see why our Cosy Cribs are safer.
We are the original Australian designed sleeping pod – tried and tested by Aussie parents for almost 20 years – so you can feel more confident using our Cosy Crib for your baby.
We recommend the babyhood Sleep Positioner to be used with your Cosy Crib as it reduces the risk of your infant rolling over. The Sleep Positioner is sold separately.
Parental supervision is always recommended as it is important to check on your infant regularly through their sleep periods, to ensure they are flat on their back and their airways are clear. If your infant rolls or has kicked off their sheet, we recommend that you re set your infant back to the optimal position, to ensure they stay safe

What is STANDARD 100 Class 1 by OEKO-TEX®
Oeko-Tex® is a worldwide association of independent research and testing institutes for product safety and sustainable production in the textile industry. Oeko-Tex® was introduced in 1992 and is used for testing and certification of textile products.
Textile products are awarded the STANDARD 100 Certification if, on the basis of the extensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalogue, they have been successfully tested by one of the OEKO-TEX® partner institutes for chemicals that pose a health risk, and therefore contribute to an effective consumer protection.
Babies’ sensitive skin requires special protection. “Product Class I” is the strictest of all four classes in the OEKO-TEX® certification process, testing products for children up to the age of three for harmful substances.

How to Use | We recommend you use the babyhood Sleep Positioner with your Cosy Crib. Lay your Cosy Crib on a flat and safe surface, away from cords, strings and heat sources. Insert your Sleep Positioner at the lower end of the Cosy Crib. Lay your infant flat on their back between the firm rolls of the sleep positioner with their armpits above the rolls – so that they can have full movement of their arms, if they wish. Sleep experts will tell you that some babies like to be swaddled, with the arms tucked away. Then take a sheet and place it over your baby’s body and the sleep positioner, ensuring you tuck the sheet under the Cosy Crib mattress. Ensure your baby’s face is not covered. Please ensure you follow Safe Sleeping Practices, recommended by medical experts, including that you check on your baby every 2-4 hours (so when you feed your baby) during their sleep periods, to ensure they are safely on their back and have not rolled over and that their airways are clear. If your infant rolls or has kicked off their sheet, we recommend that you re set your infant back to the optimal position, to ensure they stay safe. We do not recommend co sleeping with your infant in your bed with your bedding, as this is not recommended by medical experts. |
Product Care | Delicate hand or gentle machine wash in cold water only, in large front loader washing machine. Do not squash into a small washing machine. Hot or warm water may shrink the cotton. Wash separately so your colours don’t run. Wash noodle with cover and do not open the zipper or remove the insert (zipper is for manufacturing purposes only to get a nice tight fit) Reshape immediately after washing so the shape is formed neatly then line dry flat in shade only. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Rotate the mattress regularly to maintain a nice firm mattress pad. For further information see your product packaging. |
Product Warranty | 6-month manufacturer’s no-fault warranty. This excludes wear and tear and incorrect use or failure to follow washing instructions |
Safe Sleeping Practices
When using a babyhood cot we recommend that you follow safe sleeping practices. Whilst we appreciate and respect a parent’s right to make the right choices for their family, there are guidelines recommended by the medical experts for safer sleeping for your babies because we all want happy and healthy bubs.
These guidelines include:
Always sleep baby on their back from birth, not on their tummy or side.
Make sure there are no loose objects or extra linen on your baby’s cot.
Make sure your baby’s mattress is firm and clean.
Lay your baby on a flat and uninclined surface.
We know that there are many baby nests in the market that promote that they are like a cocoon for your baby to feel like they are in your womb and reduce the risk of reflux. These products are angled and do not provide your baby with a flat surface to sleep on. An infant’s head is often a little larger and unsupported at birth, so their heads tend to tip forward naturally. So, it is important to lay your baby on a flat surface for sleeping. Products where the surface curves can bring your baby’s chin to the chest. This will make it harder for your little bub to breath, as their airways are compressed. This is very dangerous. Medical experts do not recommend you incline a baby for sleeping unless they are in a hospital environment and are supervised by medical experts. This is because it can be fatal to your baby. The Australia Government is currently in the process of considering banning products that incline for sleeping. Keep your baby safe and do not trust brands or products that incline your baby for sleeping. If you would like more information, please watch our BLOG about safe sleeping.
If you have questions about how to use our products please call us or email us, we are always happy to guide you to create a safe environment for your baby using our products.

Yesss ✨ we are home! Best feeling! Elle feels like a little dream baby. She clearly doesn’t know she is in the world yet because she is as mellow as she was in the womb 🌻 we are all doing pretty good! I feel pretty tired most afternoons but feel like I’m slowly adjusting to life with less sleep! Sometimes you just don’t want to sleep because I waited so long to just stare at this little beauty everyday and I know it’s going to go quick. I blinked and all my friends kids grew up. I want to take it all in and taking it all in I shall just do with her little cosy crib from @babyhood_australia sat on the couch next to me as she sleeps 💛

Oh my heart 😍❤️ –
@denham_ravi_ & I were super nervous putting our tiny baby girl to bed the first night home. We stood over the bassinet staring at her… 😥 Did any other parents freak out doing this? 🤔 –
Then I remembered we had this sleep positioner – lifesaver!!! It gives us piece of mind, knowing she is free to move her limbs but won’t roll onto her side or tummy & we love our cosy crib for day time naps so we can stay close to her and lay next to her safely 💕

All snuggled up in the blanket grandma @cheryljecht made for him in his @babyhood_australia Breathe Eze Cozy Crib from @bubsngrubsbaby. This little portable bed has been a total lifesaver. He spends so much time in there. Affordable and really good quality. We got ours in the white embroidery version. The cover is washable but I pop down a cloth nappy under his head to catch little spews and just change this every day (sometimes twice because he is a little spewer). I really umm’d and arr’d about spending the money on this but I’m so glad I did! .
